Twenty au pairs met on a Friday night at LCC Kirstin Paydo’s house to socialize and make delicious pizzas together. We all welcomed a new au pair who had just arrived at the airport an hour earlier, only to be dropped off by her host mom to say Hello to everybody. What a fun welcome party for her!
The mild evening temperatures allowed us to roast s’mores over the fire place and the au pairs learned how messy this US dessert can be.
Did you know? S’more is a contraction of the phrase “some more”. A s’more (sometimes spelled smore) is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States, consisting of a roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker.
